Any shallow water that is fed by the Mississippi River system; creeks, rivers, sloughs, bayous, etc. I have a camp near Lake Mary on Foster's Lake. Those Silver Carp jump out of the water as high as 6 to 7 feet...even jump over some of the smaller cypress trees. It gets really dangerous to run your outboard this time of year...and from the looks of things, this is only the beginning.
From my own experience, silver carp are hard to see in shallow water unless they're swimming and leaving a wake. Maybe bowfishing at night with a light would be more productive.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!
