We tried there two Saturdays back. The water was murkey/muddy, and the place was full of lillies and coontail grass around the launch. We caught little and the few boats we spoke with had a red or drum, here and there. Nothing exciting was being reported, but that was two weeks ago. We're not in a hurry to go back.

That was at burns point?

We fished and spent Saturday night at Burns. Folks that were bank fishing from there were doing nothing. One black drum about 10 pounds was caught by a fellow who had been there all day. There were only about 8 boat trailers there at mid-afternoon. We managed to talk to a few of them as they returned. One fellow had 3 reds for all day, another boat had one red. Again, that was 2 weeks ago.
