Dularge Trout Fishing
The trout fishing out of Dularge is still top notch. Its been a long time since we've had a stretch of weather with calm seas like we've been enjoying the past 2-3 weeks. Seas have been 1 ft or less for so long that we expect these conditions every day. The fish are certainly doing their part as its been a record setting summer for numbers of trout caught and it gets better every day! Except for the thunderstorms that we encountered last week the weather has been near perfect. We enjoyed another great weekend of slamming the trout. Friday morning we cancelled all the boats due to bad thunderstorms at daybreak except for 1 with Capt Gerald. Andy Glickman from Florida snuck under the radar and slammed the reds in the ponds. Andy was so excited he came back on Saturday and did it again. This guy loves our Louisiana reds! Clayton Breaux and his Seacor team whacked the trout on Saturday and Sunday with a total of 250 plus trout. Capt Travis Lovell and I handled the Seacor crew. David Eley and his crew busted up the trout on Saturday & Sunday with Capt Bragy Giroir as they caught nearly 200 trout on their first adventure to the DU! All the trout were caught on live bait and the reds were caught on spinner baits. We are looking forward to another big week of fishing as we have 9 more groups arriving on the DU! Hopefully the weather will cooperate for us as we have had it with the rain. Good luck fishing.

Looks like I missed out this weekend. That's ok. My Triton is ready to get re-slimed again. Looking forward to another great week with big numbers.
