Freshwater Fishing in Southeast Louisiana
Go to Black Lake or Tickfar Ricer
try heading down to Tickfaw River and launching at the Springfield Public Landing on highway 22 in Springfield. From the launch go all the way to the end of the canal where it turns right and goes straight. It should be a dead end down the canal that goes straight. take your trawling motor and fish with worms aroung the base of the trees and the cypress stumps. Or try going to Black Lake and Launch at the Black Lake Club Launch. Theres a $5 fee though. on the way to the launch you pass over a wood bridge with a small creek under it. launch and when you get to the main canal turn left. There shoulld be a creek on your left. Trawl down that canal using live worms or crickets.
