How big of a boat do you have? There are some lighted platforms just northwest of Timbalier around Caillou Island area. They are 12 to 15 miles west of Fourchon. You would need to go out there in the daylight and plot a track on GPS if not familiar with the area. Dangerous out there due to all the well heads and stuff in the water. It can get very rough very quick out there too. I use to go out there all the time at night to one rig in particular and absolutely kill the trout. It wasnt even fair. But that was before hurricane Ike messed up that rig and BP took over our camp lease.
There are lights shining down underneath the Grand Isle bridge, which is why I suggested fishing there. DO NOT pull your boat up there because you will do nothing but tangle your lines with everybody fishing from the bridge. If you really want to fish from your boat there are a few camps on the bay side just west of Caminada pass that have some lights at the end of their piers. But, if you are going on a weekend I would imagine someone will be at those camps fishing as well.
The marinas, sand dollar, bridge side etc do have lighted piers. But they have big signs up that say FOR GUEST ONLY! So you are taking the chance on getting a trespass ticket if you fish them w/o permission. Can't say that i have ever seen anyone get a ticket ,but i have not been fishing there much since the BP spill. So fish them at your own risk.
Last week would have been great with that full moon out. You might want to try the platforms in Lake Racourci or Timbalier. The camps near the Fourchon boat launch have alot of flood lights and I have picked up a few Specks around there before on my way out. Watch the weather because these thunder storms have been kicking up at night also.
