Just another day at the office on the 'DU.' I have been trying to get a trip together for Marlin Melancon and his son Kyle. Finally got things together only after my original customers had some mechanical troubles coming from Houston. Too bad for them as it was a great day on the DU. Started by loading up with live croakers and heading to the area I left them last Sun. We were picking away at them till a squall came up forcing us to run. Lucky for us where the weather was clear we ran into trout almost every cast. Just took a couple of hours to finish off our 100 fish limit and head home early. Marlin and Kyle are big time bass'ers so today was quite a treat. They weren't ready to quit bass'in but they were ready to come back to the yellowmouths. Nice size today with plenty 20+ inch fish. ALL fish came from carolina rigged croakers. Kudo's to the couple in the blackjack boat who DID Not try to crowd into our casting zone. Gave them our spot and left over croakers.
