Inshore Fishing in Louisiana
Grand Isle Help
Rented a camp in Grand Isle for the first time and was wondering if anyone could help me with some general help on where to fish for specs and reds around the island. The camp is right before the bridge in grand isle and I have a 16ft boat. Any help would be much appreciated.

With a 16 ft boat you can get out around the Island just gonna have to be very calm conditions if not you will have to stick to the bay behind the Island.
Here are 3 spots that are easy:
1. The rocks at Caminada Pass. If launching at Bridgeside you can't miss em. Right there on your left as you head to the Gulf.
2. The beaches in front of Elmer's island. If the rocks at Caminada Pass don't produce. Turn and head West and the beaches are right there. Fish will be close to the beach. Drift the beaches with the direction of the wind/current.
3. Rocks on the gulf side in front of the State Park. These are located on the far East side of the island. You can run in the bay behind the island for an easier ride and come out the pass on the other end. Look West and they will be right there. Drift by the rocks with the direction of the wind/current.
Good Luck
