Battery Charging question
Hey guys this may be a dumb question but ive looked on the net and cant find a good answer. Im new to the offshore boat owner group. Ill leaving my boat down south and traveling back to Alexandria where I live so pulling the boat back and fourth would get expensive. Those of you that store your boats and travel how and what type chargers do you use? Ill be making about 2 trips per month maybe more but at min 2. I don't feel comfortable leaving the charger on for long periods of time unattended. How do you more experienced boaters do it.

Charger
I have 2 boats like this. One has a three batteries with switches that I cut off. The other two batteries without switches. Both have onboard chargers, triple bank. I leave the chargers on and the batteries are always hot. The onboards are usually pretty good to automatically switch to trickle charge once the charge is up

I don't leave my boat in storage but I have a disconnect switch on my boat. It isolates every thing from drawing down the battery when not in use and the battery stays hot.
