I have some buddies who kayak around the rocks on the surfside of Grand Isle and do well. Just depends on the wind if you can get out there. The one time I fished out of a kayak in GI I launched off of HWY 1 into the marsh and did pretty well with the reds. I used a gold spoon.

Just read the post for the past few days killing the trout off hwy 1 from the bank so should be a perfect spot.

...might make a three day log on weather/wind/month/bite/bait...most times it should be good for a couple of years...unless there is near-by dredging or hurricans...the other side of the coin is why chase 10,000,000 fish when all'ya can bring home is goverment count ???...cheers

P/S...if 'ya devise a good Geronimo symbol system you can pencil it in on a map !!! ( just be sure there's eraser on pencil)...cheers
