My good buddies and I got together for a personal trip and made a VERY easy red snapper trip out of Cocodrie, LA. Kris Dagenhart, David Laiche, Jason Pitre, Ryan Clement, and myself left the dock at daylight in search of some big red snapper and found them piled up! We began dropping down cut pogies and squid and literally had red snapper on every drop. It was one stop shopping at our 'old fathful' rig and our 10 fish limit came very easily as usual! By 7:15am, we had our limit and had weeded through and released an additional 40-50 smaller fish while looking for the big boys. Once we were done, we were drifting 500+ yards away from the rig and still catching them every drop! No shortage of red snapper this year! Who comepletes these 'engangered species' studies anyways? Ha. It was a fun trip as always as there were many laughs and memories from this trip! Good luck fishing!
