Cool Video fishing with Ben Barns from the WEST SIDE OF LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN. 1st time for me past Williams reefs as we went as far west as the Power Lines all the way on the far western shoreline of Lake Pontchatrain. With the constant west winds last 7 days we decided to jump aboard with Ben Barns and had a ball on the west side of lake. Look for East Side of Lake to come to life again this weekend as winds are again out of east so our side will clean up. Come see us at DockSide this weekend!!!!

Back in the early 2000s we caught some nice trout 15' plus on the power lines out of manchac heading south. Around 2004 the fishing to shut off out there but looks like it is back.

east winds
suppose to be 10 to 15 winds out the east this weekend so wouldnt try west side lake p. Just a heads up, that is if you want to trust the weather man. Great video in a not much talked about location. Im definitely gonna give la place area a try when the west winds come.

Hey Barns, thanks for the video. Maybe the LDWF ought to consider building some artificial reefs near Peavine. If Jindal gets to be VP then we might have a chance of funding for them. Good luck!
