This boat was spotted today on a fishing charter and the fisherman were throwing beer cans overboard in the Mississippi Canyon area..Hey Captain,at least have a little respect for the waters that pay your bill and ask your customers to not litter.At least not in plain site in front of an oil rig with people watching..VERY disrespctful.We always make sure to give the captains respect around the rig.

That boat is not a charter boat. It is owned and operated by a oral surgeon from Mississippi.

Beer cans
I had a charter captain tell me it was ok and legal. Said to twist the can until it tore and then sink it. He said the saltwater disintegrates it in fairly short order. Still goes against my grain though.

Although I agree with you about the respect issue if they were more than 12 nautical miles offshore what they did was totally legal. I beleive at 25 miles you can dump anything but plastic. Its really not that much trouble to crush the cans and bring them home. Besides they are worth 50 cents a pound!
