The CCA Louisiana STAR starts tomorrow!
Over $500,000 in prizes, 25 divisions and 101 days of competition.
New Divisions include sheepshead, red snapper and the Mississippi Youth and Adult divisions.
By the way if you don't think the tagged redfish are out there, think again. Two out of the fifty tagged redfish have now been caught just days prior to the tournament. One by Capt. Beau Weber Jr of Lafitte who released the fish safely with the hopes of one of his customers catching it during the tournament. And one just moments ago, by Annie Heath of St. Amant who was fishing off the bank in the Elmer's Island area. This tagged redfish will be replaced this afternoon. Remember the first tagged redfish caught by a registered angler during STAR wins a brand new Chevy Silverado thanks to the Super Chevy Dealers and the next nine win a 21 ft Nautic Star with a 150 hp Mercury 4-Stroke and a Mike Gerald's trailer.
So get registered and get fishing! It all starts tomorrow. Good luck.

Even though i don't support CCA nor the star tourney i have to say tallnoguy ,You are wrong.
Last week one of this years star tagged reds was caught from the bank by a woman at elmers isle.
CCA said the fish would be re[placed before the start of the Star tourney.
I don't think they tag any reds over 27 '.

why did they take out the bass out of the tournament i signed up for this because of the bass and now they pull it out if i had known they were taking it out i would have never signed up for this , and ive seen how big one of these tagged redfish are a person with a reg. size boat has no chance in hell to get one.
