Duck Dynasty
Some random thoughts:
I think Uncle Si and Jase are my favorite characters. Si has some good sayings, funny with words. Jase is really funny. Guy knows how to get at his brother.
They seem to be hell bent on being everything redneck. Dress and attire, Mud riding, constantly gloating about Redneck mentality (staged or not?)
They blow through money seemingly unwisely. Buying a vineyard, Buying $2,000 goats, making a conveyor belt, Jase building an office and then his brother tearing it down and using it for a goat pen..... Then again I don't have as much money as they do, so how much can I really say
Phil and Si seem like a meat and potatoes type of men. All about the basics of life. Food, ducks, guns, the Lord.....The boys, not so much
They pray before every meal. I like it a bunch.
You can tell they are all about family. I like this too.
I hope they aren't sacrificing their good character and their real personalities to get ratings on A&E. That would be ashamed.
Anyone else have any thoughts on the show? Thought this would be the appropriate place to bring the banter.
FYI. My favorite duckmen scene of all time.

My brother and I at the Duck Commander Picking Station with Phil and Jase
The Robertson's are a great family and deserve the success they have worked hard for. I started a thread on the show when it first aired and there were some mixed thoughts on it. I love it! I think they are even some what shocked with the huge popularity of the show. Remember, Duck Commander had a following before the show started through the sale of their hunting DVD's. 'Duck Dynasty' has just exposed them to a wider audience. They are just what they appear to be on the show.
Shout out to Martin for winning a recent golf tourny for St. Judes childrens hospital and sinking 4out of 5 puts to win putting contest. They spent lots of money for a good cause on door prizes and donations.
Addicting show and entertaining. Show has only gotten better with each episode. Crazy how you can (at least I can) relate to their antics and outdoor adventures. Kudos to the fellow NLU Indian (I cannot bring myself to saying warhawk :)

I've watched a bunch (if not all) of the episodes and this thread had got me thinking. These guys are the most hard core duck hunter around, yet I can't recall ever seeing a retriever on the show. I'm sure they hunt with dogs. Are their dogs kenneled up and are strictly work dogs? I don't know. Just don't remember seeing a dog running around with them.
I love listening to Phil, you can tell he is a super intelligent guy. I agree with everyone here, great show, entertaining, and promotes family values! How the heck is it still on? LOL
Sane, The Duck commander Crew does hunt with a dog. They had 'Peggy Sue' for a long timeuntill she passed. The Have a good friend who breeds and trains labs and he sends them the dogs for the Hunting season. I think they sometimes return the dogs for Training and Puppy making during the off season.

This show is great. Jase and Si are a trip but Phil is my favorite. I liked when they had to babysit all the grand-daughters.
Obviously some scenes are staged but regardless, it is very entertaining. If you like it, let me suggest you watch Willie's Buck Commander videos. The things him, Chipper, Adam and the rest of the guys do are awesome.
