Goggle-Eye King
A nice Goggle-Eye to remember
We should have a partners section. I think plenty of people who fish around here wouldnt mind having more company. I wouldnt mind it a bit if someone wanted to fish with me on weekends from the Westbank of New Orleans. I fish by myself quite a bit and company always makes it more enjoyable. Email me if you want to join in.
I see multiple benefits from this idea. I am fairly new to the area, so I'm not familiar with all the hot spots, or any good places to fish....but I do have a brand new boat, and I am looking to give my live wells a test. I would need to follow a 'guide' boat to the areas, so that my passenger and I have a chance of catching. or, I would need someone who knows where the fish are, and knows how to navigate to the spots.
{I know what they say...'thats why its called fishing and not catching'........but DARN IT!!! I'M READY TO START CATCHING!!!!} lol
I'm in. I'm over 60 and don't fish alone for lots of reasons but mainly, it's more fun with a partner.
This past Friday, I took a day of vacation to hit the water and wouldn't you know it, I couldn't find a partner to save my soul.
I even posted on Facebook and several large boards I belong to, but no takers. I completely forgot about this one. Shame on me....
I know my way around the spillway from Ramah down to Stephensville and inside from Bulltail to Grassy Lake. And been to Henderson a few times. I fish mainly for panfish but do some bass too. I don't care...I like to fish!!!
The only place I've fished on the east bank is the LSU lakes.
Best way to find me is email: pbouy1@gmail.com. Send me your number and we'll hook up.
In response to Iberville Parish post: You've got the right idea. I've had to miss out on some serious fishing time due to unexpected health issues...a heart attack will do that to you. I'm 51 and after two full years of 'wishin'nin I wuz fishin'nin' I've just been able to get started back again. I have been given a clear bill of health from my doctor...but for obvious reasons I cannot go by myself. Mostly just me and my wife, since she's always ready to go...just as much because she likes to fish and to let me get out to get my 'fix'.
Two weeks ago, during the FULL moon...the fish were jumping into the boat. My wife and I caught a nice mess of fish. As posted above, I took a young man who doesn't have a boat (that's him in the picture after catching his first goggle-eye on a jig...never had tried fishing that way before).
Even though the Bayou Pigeon area was experiencing a rise, we still managed to catch fish. But more importantly, I was able to share some fishing knowledge with the next generation of LA Sportsman.
Maybe the LA Sportsman staff can post a message board of some sort for those who want to go fishing can partner up with others. The two (or three) fishermen can exchange emails, phone calls, etc to finalize their plans. It would be a great way to enhance our own fishing experiences.
What do you say LA Sportsman? Is it worth a bit of effort? I'd like to think so...
Let's do it.

I have a boat and always can't seem to find a partner to go fishing during the week when I am off. I have a small boat, only comfortable for 2 people, cheap on gas. I am in full support of taking someone fishing who doesn't have a boat or has a boat and is like me who needs a partner. The easiest way to reach me is rattletrap69@live.com. I mainly fish around Iberville parish, grand river, Bayou sorrell, Bayou Pigeon, Belle River, Lake Verret, etc. If Interested, please email me and lets talk.
I should be off Friday June 1, if anyone wants to hook up and fish. My wife likes to eat panfish, but I'm a bass fisher. If anyone knows where to go catch some nice panfish, we can take my boat or yours? If you don't have a boat and want to venture out and try to find some panfish, respond here or call or txt 843.259.1039

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED TO FISH, ALWAYS BEEN A BANK FISHER DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD A BOAT BUT NOW I OWN A BOAT AND VERY SELDOM GET TO USE IT. DON'T LIKE TAKING IT OUT ALONE AND CAN NEVER FIND A PARTNER.I WORK MONDAY THRU FRIDAY AND OFF ON WEEKENDS. I LIVE IN THE HOUMA AREA AND I AM WILLING TO TRAVEL TO CATCH FISH. ANYONE NEED A PARTNER JUST GIVE ME A SHOUT BY EMAIL.
I would be interested in doing that. I appreciate being able to get out on the water, and catching fish is a bonus. Anybody interested in teaming up with me and chipping in on the fuel and ice (cost would be down the middle, not looking to make money on this deal), and enjoy fishing areas within an hour or three from baton rouge shoot me an email
Or text. I know my way around lots of places. And do manage to put a few in the boat on occasion. So, if anybody is a bank bound angler who would like to pair up with someone who has a boat give me a shout so we can exchange info. Also, I primarily fish for bass but will fish for panfish if the time is right.
