If you read the plan there is no plan. No historical data. No data to support this action. They want to allocate 217,100 pounds to the recrational and 60,900 pounds to the commercial fisherman in the entire gulf of mexico. How long do you think it will take for them to close the season and say we took over the limit. I submitted my comments weeks ago but they never showed up until a week of communicating with Charlene Ponce at the council. It seems somehow there was a glitch in their program and there was 36 blank comment pages before my comment. Charlene was very nice and helpful and now my comment shows up on the Triggerfish but there are still only 2 comments for red snapper. I commented here also and it doesn't show. We need to flood the site with comments. If your comment doesn't show, call Charlene until they get it right. Currently the council is made up of 11 members appointed by the Secretary of Commerce and 1 member from each of the 5 Gulf states. No wonder we get screwed. This needs to change.
