Albino Deer in Eastern Ohio
Albino Deer in Ohio
Had this deer run in front the truck in eastern Ohio where I'm working then slowly mosey on over to where this pic was taken. According to the locals a large albino whitetail was killed by 2 hunters over 25 years ago and while on the way home they were both killed in a auto accident so no one is shooting them because they are scared and say they bring bad luck if killed.

I had posted a video on here last year of a herd of albino deer,,, a bunch of them apparently protected in the wild. pretty cool to see.

The very old hunters say that if you shoot a 'white deer' it will bring 5 years of bad luck. An old wise tail I'm sure. I have been hunting for 50 years and have never seen one but if I did I would let it walk and not take the chance.

To this day I haven't shot my first deer and i'm 30 now.If i saw this deer in the woods while hunting I would not shoot it either.Instead i would rather if it stuck around so i could watch it for a little while.Awesome picture thanks for sharing ..

I would not be worried about the bad luck part but how could anyone shoot such a rare beutiful animal?
