What year, make, model 4 wheeler are you referring to?
I think Honda had an early model 350 4x4 (late 80's) that had different front/rear tire sizes.
As of the 90's and up all your 4x4 4 wheelers will have the same diameter tire but some may have different sized wheels. i.e. My Rancher 350 has 25x8x12 Up front but 25x10x11 on the rear. The first number is tire diameter, the middle number is width and last number is wheel (rim) height. So long as the tire diameter is the same front/rear this will not cause any problems with your ATV. If you change the tire diameter on a 4wd you risk damaging your transmission as one set of tires will turn more than the other set.
If you have a 2wd ATV then it doesn't matter what diameter tire you run on the front or the back.
