Hey you got right size boat for marsh area, Now Question is where you wana go or how far you wana Drive??

Marsh Island is tricky for that size or any size boat, you have to know the weather and know where you are going, i too fish out of a 16 foot flat bottom and when the weather is right i run to marsh island, if the wind picks up it will make it a little rough coming back, send me an email and i can help you better or maybe we can hit the water one day together and i can show you around the area

I just recently got the boat last year so I am trying to explore some new areas around the Lafayette area. The wife and I love to fish just dont really know any great areas. I have mainly only fished Henderson my whole life and just this year started fishing Lake Martin. Saltwater fishing is completly new to me. I have also heard that there is good crabbing out of the point. Is that true?

Man you better watch the weather and your taking a BIG chance with a 16 foot flat. All I can say is the water is fresh right now and you had better watch the weather cause it can and it douse get nasty real quick.
