Just was sitting around drinking a few beers at the camp the other night, and we got into a discussion about words now used when referring to deer hunting. Most come from the hunting shows (which I refuse to watch any more), but it now seems to be the place most new hunters learn what they know about deer hunting. We have an old club, been around since 1948, and we all learned what we know from our parents and grand parents. So, being the old farts that we are, we made a list of words and phrases not allowed at the camp. Here is a sample of what we came up with: main frame, cull buck, harvest, G_ (insert a number), _ class (insert a number), _ 1/2 year old (insert a number). Now you don't get fined or kicked out if you use one of these, but you will get reminded, we are tring to stay old school.
