I hear the north end is doing a little but, Bayou Corne and Bay Alcide are real slow the last couple of days.
Best bet is to move away from bank and swim jig deep over the grass. Seems to work for a few of the guys.

I have not been in the lake but the bayou corne/alcide area bite has been really slow. Got to work really hard to catch a dozen.

Any help on directions to closest and best launch site for a small boat into Verret from Lafayette area would be helpful. Trying to do some early homework on Sac-a-lait catching in the near future. Im a newby and looking for some info. thanks

Launch at Bayside at the bridge across the street from the church on Hwy 70 in Pierre Part. Go away from the bridge and it will take you into the north end on the lake.
