Tensas NWR

Does anyone know how many deer was killed on Tensas first lottery hunt and this past weekends muzzaloader hunt ?

I forget the exact number but it was under three hundred for the first split, a low average & that was for three days.

I don't know how many were taken with black powder but know they didn't move much this past weekend. Saturday morning we only heard five shots and know of two that were taken.

Sunday was supposed to be a wash out and we stayed in but apparently they move some as we saw a few small bucks taken & neighbor took a doe.

sad,and to know the first few yrs. it opened they would kill 2000 for the season--
