yes we had the life jackets in the boat all was legal just did not have theme on. the boat 15 foot, no warning just tickets. It pisses me off with all the money we spend to try to get out and hunt to try to relax from the work week and with the econamy as bad as it is. for a minor thing like this a warning would have been nice. putting a blind on my 17 foot tiller boat so i dont have to try to put a life jacket over hunting clothes. wold have been legal if my boat would have had a 1 foot fantail huh, funny how stupid the law is.

This is not a new law. It became effective over a year ago. The game warden had every right to give you a ticket. It's your responsibly to read the boating regulations. People need to be more responsible in regards to knowing the regulations and safety. Anyways congrats on the hunt!! Hope you have a good season

yes he has the right but I went to the ldwf web sight to see the law and how much the fine would be, and it says a warning all the way to $250. well a warning would have been nice, he did not have to issue the ticket. we had everything else legal, not like we were major outlaws. That just puts a sour taste in my mouth about ldwf. plus the guy driving there boat was rude. just my opinion.

I understand what you mean. I was just saying the law ha been in effect for about 2 years now. It would have been nice to just give a warning but i guess ldwf needs the money Sorry to hear about the $250 fine. I'm sure after two years of the law being in effect the wardens got tired of giving warnings. Just my take on it. Sorry

The right name GAME it's a game for them go out and get the real outlaws like the one that stole my DADs crab from his traps. O yes we did call 2 years ago still on ldwf Warden to much work for them and no money. It is ok to check out duck hunters but give a ticket to the reel outlaws like over the limit I still tink a waning wood of been nice. But like i said money--money -- and a Game the loved it.
