I use a little 4x8 trailer behing my ATV an some manual labor, (ME), to clean area of large sticks, vines, etc...I don't worry about getting it super clean tho. My disc will cut through larger stuff than I thought. I put two 5 gallon buckets of concrete on top of my disc set for enough weight to help cut.
On the grass, I did not burn off the dead stuff this past summer, the disc cuts it up really well actually.

This year I use a Chain Harrow behind my 4-wheeler and just went slow to make piles of leaves,stick, and weeds. I've seen the Bass Pro rack but it's mounted to the 4-wheeler. I wish that it had a coupling w/ a ball that would be the way to go. rnrnHow you put the two 5gallon buckets of concrete on the disc with it tipping over?

my disc setup is a farily substanical unit. It has a meaty frame that support the buckets on top above the chopper discs.

I purchased one of those Groundhog Max from Tractor Supply a few months back. I researched and researched and researched atv disc. And Did more on the groundhog max. I does work well, but I didn't find it to work well on weeds like the manufacture claims it does.

They work pretty good especially after a rain and the ground is soft. However, even pulling mine with a Grizzly 600, pay attention, your ATV can get hot or even overheat if you pull too long. If you know when your going to plow, you may want to spray with weed killer a couple weeks before.

some models of the atv setups come with the round discs, not the chopper discs. Mine has choppers and cut very well, especially with the 2 buckets filled with concrete ! ! With the added weight, I sometimes need to use the travel wheels on the setup to keep from cutting too deep.

I use a leaf blower to clear out the area to start with.
