if you get someone with a big mudboat best if one with 350 chevy engine on it. it will run through those like without even trying. i got one my dads buddys to do that for me to a small little pond i found on map that had no openings so i could duck hunt it. hopefully someone will be come help you and its quiet amazing to watch. just when you think the sd is unstoppable those things are down right mean

It good to know a mud boat will work. Now I just need to find someone with one. I'm willing to take that person hunting on my lease one weekend and pay them.

Like I asked in my email, how far of a trail do you need to cut through the lilies? That might help determine what kind of machine you need.

We have about 100 to 150 yards left to go. We cleared about 100 yards already but that took us 2 days and alot of work

Your not going to ever really clear them all out. What type of boat are you trying to get in there during hunting season? A pirogue or a surface drive?

If you have a surface drive, what you'll probably end up with is just a small trail through the lilies that you can run through on plane without stopping till you get to the pond. If you have to pirogue in, it will be more difficult. Either way once you get that small trail cut, if you just continually run over it with the surface drive, it will slowly open up more and more.

I will be going through there with my surface drive. it will tear them up if I can make a trail. We hunt multiple times a week so it will never close up. I just need that initial trail to loosen them up.

Get someone on the front the boat with a weedeater cut the tops off as you move forward slowly the lillies will sink and rot. It works did this many times before.
