GWILEY did yall have plenty feed last year where you hunt because thats really what determines this years numbers. Where i hunt we have a few but no limits filled yet although very close we had some feed last year but nowhere near pre Gustav until now next year should be great.

We also had a rough weekend in the Red River/Three Rivers area. Lots of feed, but hardly any cuttings on the ground. Seen 4 squirrels all weekend and shot 1!

we had a group up in Big Lake and tensas area. it was pitiful. we killed 18 for the weekend between 6 of us. had a report from a warden who was a the checkout point and he said 60 hunters had only killed 40 squirrels on opening morning. same story. feed everywhere but almost no cuttings.

no shortage of squirrels around here, i killed two could have killed a limit if i would have had my shotgun, but it sure is fun chasing them with the 22 and i almost got a limit of mosquitoes, short sleeves is a bad idea

Saw lots of Squirrels on sunday, ended up with 3. Had gun issues which caused me to miss out on 3 others. My issue is that it is so dry out and the ground is covered with nice dry leaves made it difficult to sneak up on anything.

I've been back twice to Cat Island WMA. Nothing either trip. Scary.
