What you have to remember is that hogs never stop moving,so if you see them somewhere one evening theyll be gone the next.The best thing you can do is find the slop!Its hot right now and hogs cant sweat.The only way they can cool off is to wallow in the mud.Look for fresh wallows and rooting.Good luck
Oilwell road in the drive-in is a great place to start. wait for a rainy day or just after a rain and just stalk down a creek bed. listen for them fighting or cutting up and ease up on them. may want to bring along your GPS...easy to get turned around in there while chasing hogs. It is real thick in there since Katrina...not an easy hunt
hogs can be found most everywhere in the swamp.some days are better than others.but there is no definate spot to find them they roam all over.i have seen them on every road and most trails.opening day will probably be packed.bow and small game opens the same day this year.best suggestion is make sure to wear orange.for sure.
