I have tried Greenheadgear, Cabelas, Hodgeman, Lacrosse, Walmart special blah blah blah......I have come to a couple of conclusions.
1. Neoprenes are better than Canvas or rubber.
2. Velcro straps rock, get them!
3. All waders break and will be weak around the top of the boot and the crotch area. Whether $110 or $300. They all break after 3 years for me.
i bought my first pair of cabelas waders 11 years ago. I hunt flooded timber mostly buttonwoods so i am extremely hard on waders. I had a couple of punctures in them but they patched very easily. When my wife started duck hunting i gave them to her and bought a new pair of cabelas supermag 6 years ago. Still have not had a single leak or problem. i hunt almost everyday. A couple of my diehard lacrosse friends have since switched to cabelas after my waders outlast theirs 5:1. Oh and the pair i bought 11 years ago are still being used now! I will never use any other wader. ive been duck hunting for over 40 years and they are the best ive ever used.
I've owned Cabela's, Hodgeman and Lacrosse. I would repurchase any three of them with Lacrosse being my number 1 and Hodgeman a close second. Cabelas are OK, but the type I had ripped very easily. I would spend the extra $$ and get Lacrosse.
