I agree! The first time I pulled the speed craw through the water near the boat to see the action I got excited! I've caught ever type of fish except specks...but then again I have never tried it...I'm sure they would eat it!
Rouge, crankbait , and for plastic is a sweetbeaver
watermelon candy baby brush hog
baby chug bug...on bad days i catch bass with one. might be a small one but if there's a feisty bass around he'll hit a chug bug
Mine is a 7' purple worm
I agree with the speed craw. catch em all the time on it they just cant resist those crazy claws
Zara Spook Jr
Speed Worm Watermelon seed or Pumpkin on a spot remover jig head
They all say spinnerbait. There is never any weather condition it can't be fished and it can be fished fast and slow deep and shallow. Hard to fish a worm with heaavy wave action.
Bandit Yellow Spring Craw Shallow Runner Crankbait!
I have never tried the Speed Craw, but it looks like I'll be getting some.
All-around, I would have to go with a long senko-type worm. You can rig it Texas-syle, shaky-head, Carolina, whacky, weightless, and drop-shot. It works everywhere and at all depths. If you need it smaller, you can always just cut some off.
I use a plug, but tweak it. I take off the treble hook, then throw away that useless piece of plastic. Put a live minnow or small crawfish on the hook. Works great.
A 4 inch Zoom finesse worm (watermelon/red or junebug)and a rootbeer/chartreuse 100 series Bandit.
However, if I was stranded on an island and could only have 1 bait, it would be a 1/16 ounce beetle spin with a black/chartreuse tube jig. That catches everything that swims!!
the zara spook jr is also my favorite
1.Rogue ( original floater blk top gold side orange bottom) 2 . white or yellow spinner 3 . Kanami worm ( watermelon)
Two Gold Fish double rigged with a popping cork.
The one and only Slugo.........I say it again....SLUGO,SLUGO !!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have been using watermelon finese worm alot lately and have been having better luck than others.
pumpkin with chartrues or redbug with chartrues i use one in clear one in dirty and fish it wacky , when all else fails in my box this catches fish.. I have about $1100 dollars worth of tackle and this is my choice
I guess the best 'all around' lure would have to be a spinner bait. What other lure can catch fish year round in all conditions while giving an angler several different methods of fishing it? You can work it in the grass or open water when fish are schooling. You can slow roll it deep. Flip it. Pitch it. Buzz it. Burn it. You name it. How many people do you know who caught their first bass on a spinner bait? You can tie one for someone who's never fished a day in their life and tell'em to just crank it back to the boat or you can win a classic with one like KVD did this year(AND A CRANKBAIT). Spinnerbait......best all around no doubt.
RIBBIT,I had to do it..JD
I agree. The speed craw can be drug on the bottom, jigged, swam like a spinnerbait, or swam on top. You don't even have to adjust the bait, all you have to do is reel it in differently.
American Flag cream worm on a 1/8 oz jig head.
(The older guys will know)
