Offshore Fishing in Louisiana
Capt Trey Pique Voodoo Charters
I would like to send out a huge thank you to Capt. Trey Pique of Voodoo Charters for helping us off of a sand bar in South Pass yesterday. He went well above and beyond the call of duty to help me and my crew, several of which were injured. He transported 2 of our crew up river due to injuries. Capt. Trey and his operation are a real class act. He took quite a bit of time to help out a fellow boater in trouble. My friends that rode back to Venice with him got a look at his catch of 8 huge yellowfin, so apparently Trey knows a thing or two about fishing too.
If you are running down South Pass be very careful. the bar that we hit was 200 yards from the bank on the right side of the channel about 2 miles up river from Port Eads. It was 2 inches deep just a bit ahead of the spot that we stopped.
Again Trey, thank you so much for being patient with us, and because of your help we were able to catch a limit of snapper, 80 pound wahoo and lots of dolphin the next day. I hope I can help you out in some way in the future.
