Wing it cant be stopped!! Its a done deal I have some friends that own a camp in the affected area and for some reason they were left off of the list with the option to purchase their lot that the camp is on. They are in negotiations right now with the people from Florida. Also have some buddys that hunted right around the bar and the red top area and they have removed all their stuff out of the woods already.
Rabbit Im not sure about the 8 point club as I havnt seen very much around there in a long time. I think someone actually lives in the old camp!!
I talked with my buddy last night after the meeting. He said its over with. The reason the parish president was there was because Livingston Parish purchased 2,500 acres as a hurricane buffer zone around the lake. He said it will either be leased out to the excisting lease holder or open to the public. All good things must come to the end, I guess.......Slick who do you hunt with? Or what camp?
Sounds like the Nature Conservancy out of Virginia has bought out more land and donated it to LDWF. I was in the New Sarpy Deer Club until most of our land was bought out and the rest by the a'hole Roussell lawyers from Laplace. I still hunt the public land, and love to go openning weekend and hunt just north of Roussell's property line and shoot deer running away from their stupid kid's 4 wheelers, LOL.
I heard that abunch of the clubs on Blind River recieved notices about a month ago that their leases had been pulled. I heard a conservation group from Florida purchased the property.
