Headed out to Leeville today for my first trip this year. Joining me were 3 friends of mine. Water was a 9 on a scale of 1-10. Wind blew pretty good but with it being a south wind the water stayed clean even though it was fairly choppy. Bounced around from philo brice to northwest island to devils bay and a few submerged reefs in those areas. Managed to put together a decent box of 60 trout with the average fish being between 14'-16'. Most were caught on live minnows 2 1/2' under a poping cork. We also caught them on live shrimp and billy bay shrimp. Thanks again Mr. Terry for some very lively bait! You just cant beat his prices. Will be headed to GI monday for the first time this year for a scoutibg trip. Good luck to all you weekend warriors this weekend, it might be very tough.
