Ditch cutting...hmmmmm? I was told by a few people that attended the LDWF meeting in Ponchatoula that this was one of the arguements about regulating motorized boats in Manchac WMA, more particularly Go-Devils. I don't know about anyone else here, but has anyone seen how thick the marsh is in Manchac? I want to see the go-devil you're using to cut that ditch!
I agree with Poppap a chop chop is the easy and best way to do it, but it is costly. We had a lease in Miami Corp for 15 plus years and we did it with our mud boats the first time only, it gets it done but its a long slow process. This chop chop machine eats it up like no bodies business, and another thing don't let anyone talk you into being on the front deck of the chop chop boat, pay someone if you have to because you want look the same for about 2 weeks LOL. Its costly but worth it, and when all said and done you can run an outboard in the run.
You cut it with a Chop chop or if it is not to bad. You can use a very big mudboat. The only person I know that has a Chop Chop Lives in lake Arthur. Not sure what the price is. Guess it depends on how far it is and how much runs you need cut. But when he finishes you can go down the run with your regular boat motor. It throw all the crap out the run. It is fun just watching this thing eat away. You just do not want to ride on the front deck. LOL If you need info, just let me know.
