thanks for posting the video Eric. just started fishing the causway couple weeks ago and didn't have a clue as to what technique to use. (completely differant from Delacroix where i'm used to fishing). saw u out there on several occasions and were very helpful giving us tips every time. we haven't been loading up with limits yet, but have been putting some really nice trout on ice. will be taking the wife and kids out tomorow to do the causeway troll. looks likes it's gonna be a beautiful day for fishing. thanks again for the helpful video.
No problem guy's, come out to the sportsman show and we can talk about all the other kind of fish that is fixing to happen, plus I will have the state record triple tail there in person to view.
Eman, lol I looked at that trap the other day and had it in my hand. I'm going to have to use it. May be a state record on the bridge waiting on that trap.
Capt. Eric is there a perticular depth or structure neede for trolling for trout. I mainly fish leeville and am curious if this method would work along the leeville bridge or along rock jetties. Have you ever tried to troll in shallow water 5-7 feet?
Thanks for any input you give.
I usually fish the northshore of the bridge but as more and more people comes out I will run until I find a clear sport and go from there. I been starting around 2 miles out. But I haven't been out in a couple days due to weather and the sportsman. I'll be out this week.
And yes I have done it along rock jetties and 5-7th of water.
I usually stay in 11-16ft.
It works well with plastic in shallow water 5-8ft.
Thanks for the informative video! I've never fished the Causeway but after your video I'm ready to give it a try. Nice fish!
