You were in the wrong area! Saturday I was at the lake, and my gf's uncle talked to a neighbor who's son fished the Cheramie. 83 sacs by around 1:30..and he and his friend started fishing around 10:30!
I guess so, i am glad to hear people are catching alot of fish. I dont know much about the lake this is my first year out on it so i dont know where anything is or what the different parts of the lake are called. Thanks for the heads up looks like i will try going north on the lake.
A friend of mines and his brother went and caught 90 big slabs on black and chartreuse triple tails.. but i dnt no what part of the lake they were on
I'm not sure where you launch, but if you launched at Attakapas, go into the bar and invest in a map. INVALUABLE. Or, if you're closer to Houma or going before you go fishing again, Academy has a good 1, including the Cheramie area.
If you are coming from BR stop at Spillway Sportsman and get a map. We normally launch at Bayou Corne and head to the Crackerhead from there. Maybe a 15-20 min boat ride if the lake is calm.
Thanks for the info, I launch from off of hwy 70 in stephensville. I will have to look into the maps once again thanks alot.
So did you do crappie?
