Inshore Fishing in Fourchon / Grand Isle in Southeast Louisiana
Low Water, Not a Problem
Started the morning at 6:30 a.m. after stopping by to see Ms. Gail to get some of her fine Live Minnows and Bait Shrimp. First stopped in the canal across from Bobby Lynn's Marina. Launched the Kayaks, and paddled off. After 3 hrs with only one Rat Red. Decided to head across the toll Bridge and stop in Fourchon. Found a spot to Launch off the side the road again and headed to a sand bar that had a instant drop off of about 10-15ft deep. Threw out a poppin cork with a live minnow and as soon as it hit the water it disappeared. It was nice trout hitting anything we threw at them. We ended the trip with 19 trout and a flounder. All trout were between 14'-20'. It was great to see some people out there fishing and the whole time I was out there I was thanking god for the oil spill NOT ruining our Coast. I LOVE LOUISIANA FISHING!!!!
