I don't believe it is as much as tide thing as it is a full moon thing. On a full moon the fish tend to be more active in the very early morning and late afternoon as well as under lights at night. When compound a full moon with little to no tide, it gets real tough.

I went 2/13/11 on sunday. We had 15 reds in the boat in no time .

a while back, they had a post on here that said, when fishing on the grand isle pier at nite, if u can see the moon, fishing won't be good??? i guess everybody got an opinion!! who's rite, what do ya'll think??? maybe fish is just smarter, than all of us???

Beast I believe we are saying the same thing, fish bite turns off on the full moon, the best time for the bite during a full moon is very early and very late in the day but not nearly as good as on waning gibbous moon.

I think the unusually warm weather has the specks scattered a bit also
