What the heck is this??

My buddy shot this thing on a piece of property around slaughter and we don't know what is wrong with this deer. At first he thought it was just a button buck, but after he looked through the scope, he saw the growths on the deer and decided to shoot it, seeing it was had to be a sick deer. The deer couldn't have weighted more than 100lbs, but had a head and neck of a 180lbs deer. After checking the teeth, it was probably around a one year old deer.
The horns are both broken off and have very little mass, so we thought the growth were just battle wounds. But after cleaning it, we saw that the growths were under the skin as well. Notice the arc of the snout on the deer, none of our deer on our property look like this. Also, the deer seemed to be abandoned by the herd, since it was the only deer we saw all morning. What do yall think?

Just a growth

It is not fatal or anything to be worried about. Just something deer get called a Fibroma. Caused by a virus. Just think of it as deer warts.
