Greed lets the devil in. I read about this last week. He is going down big time. You can find lots of info on the web about it. There were feds acting as clients on some of the hunts too. You are innocent until proven guilty, but this guy is going down. What a shame and a discrace to our sport.

I personally know of a guide who was based in Wyoming who got busted by the Feds. Da judge threw the Book at him - Fine: $250K & 5 Years @ hardtime in a Federal Prison. I hope this clown & his co-conspirators get the same 'medicine'.

What he alledgedly did is wrong on so many levels there isn't enough space to list them all. The bottom line is now he has some serious problems to deal with and he will pay. We don't know all the facts yet, but his life as he knows it is over.

The lesson here is learn the law and follow it. Enjoy your hunts whatever they turn out to be, and sleep good at night.

I lived near Loveland for 4 years. He's cooked. They take enforcement seriously. For example, during the walleye spawn, some people try to snag them, which is illegal there. WLF actually tagged one guy while I was fishing, they claimed the fish had holes on its side. Don't know if it was true (I didn't see it happen), and I don't even agree with it. But, the laws are strict and they don't mess around there.

Based off of what I read he got a 100K federal fine, 14.5K Canadian fine. Can't hunt Canada or US for 3 years and has to take classes for Alcoholism. He also had to sell his hunting ranch to pay for the fine. rnrnBased off of that seems like he got off pretty good.

I don't know why he didn't get banned for life from hunting. That is max and what should have been done in my opinion.

I'm almost positive that I read about the same guy getting into some trouble a few years back for some other waterfowl violations. If so I am thinking he should be banned from hunting for life. $100k isnt a real big deal for someone like him. I'm sure he has some kind of endorsment from Under Armour and a few others. Most likely he will loose them though.
