I thought the same way 20 years ago, and they actually have grown more Deer over there since i use to hunt there. The deer use to be few and mostly nocturnal, but they are coming back. I think that less people are dog hunting these days and the alot of the dog hunters don't have that good of trained dogs like they use to. I dunno, not knocking dog hunting but i remember seeing trucks (dog hunters) parked every hundred yards all along and surrounding the Crown Zellar Back property we use to still hunt on. Most of the time that was the only way to get the few deer moving, then they chase it across have the parish till they got it. Actually it was pretty impressive drag net they set out and the some deer would make it through it.
The full moon is not helping matters and the warm air surely isn't helping things. Saturday evening we started seeing deer, sunday morning very few deer seen but still deer were seen. Its coming.
