what area of south central louisiana were you hunting, we hunted white lake area and saw tons of teal

frozard-it is on the east side of Hwy 82 near Acadiana Marina. On Sat. just about every duck we saw was a teal. Not as many as in past few weeks but still good numbers. Missed hunting that area today. We got a late start this season with the hurricane damage and just like Bull-T states I hate to see it end. It has been a good season and looking forward to next year--now have to figure out how to suppress the hunting urge till September.

Well Cajunsim you can always fish...haha...But I happen to fish the same area I hunt so that does not really help,I am always gone check on the blind or gone put fertilizer on the blind....it never ends......I eat,sleep and sh*t ducks from now till it opens again in September and there is no remedy to make it go away or get here sooner,sometimes its pure hell..!!

BT- I have seriously thought about taking up skeet shooting-one of my kids is on a high school team and it has been a blast(no pun intended) watching them shoot. The fishing in Vermilion bay is OK when the water is right. Hope all have a safe and sucessful duck season--geese beware.

Cajunsim:I used to shoot competative sporting clays years ago and it is a lot of fun,can hit the ole pocket book pretty good and it dont get any better.....haha.....I can honestly say thats what turned me into the shooter that I am.I learned alot about the mechanical ethics of shot gunning,gun fit,and proper chokes.....Very good for the hunter afield..!!
