SEE AND PURCHASE AT ****** WWW.SHADYCAJIN.COM ***** I Would like to introduce our set back mounting bracket security kit for your Minn Kota Talon or Power Pole anchors where either anchor unit mounts to a bracket that is mounted behind the motor which is a set back type mount or is mounted to the Jack Plate set back type mount.The kit includes 4 - 3/8" x 2 " stainless steel security bolts,4 - 3/8" stainless steel breakaway security nuts,4 - 3/8" stainless steel nylock nuts,1 security wrench designed specially to fit the security bolts and a small tube of Loctite 271 high strength thread locker.This kit will help you secure the Minn Kota Talon or Power Pole that is mounted in this way and help deter theft of your unit.The kit can be used in any variation of how you want to replace the original plain factory bolts & nuts in the brackets. You can replace one,two ,or all four bolts in the bracket where they meet together with either a security bolt and breakaway nut or security bolt and nylock nut.The kit security bolts and nuts could be split into two kits if you would like to if you run two anchor units on the back of your boat which would put only two security bolts & nuts on each side bracket (this may help save $$$for NOW but could cost you more $$$down the road if you anchor unit or units is stolen and this also reduces the security factor of each unit where (four security nuts and bolts on both sides is much more secure) to cover security for two Minn Kota Talons or Power Poles using the set back type mounts. The stainless steel breakaway nut provides good security along with the stainless steel security bolt when installed properly and must be done by putting a small amount of Loctite red 271 thread locker on the nut threads and bolt threads before tightening.When the breakaway nut is tightened and reaches it's maximum tightness the hex head part of the nut will shear off leaving only a smooth conical nut that can't be removed without being cut off.You can also use the 3/8" stainless steel nylock nuts along with the 3/8" stainless steel security bolt and by also putting a small amount of Loctite red 271 thread locker on the threads of the nut and the bolt gives a good bit of security and is extremely hard to remove without the security tool but can be removed with security tool and wrench or socket & ratchet if needed.
