2001 Ford F350 Dually Crew Cab XLT 7.3l Power Stroke Diesel.
I Have a F350 dually for sale. I purchased the truck to pull a 28ft Holiday Rambler Alumi-lite camper back in 2006. When I got laid off after the oil spill I sold the camper and I no longer have a need for such a big truck. It has the world famous 7.3l power stroke diesel engine with only 186,000 miles. It runs and drives very well and is very dependable. With new back tires I would take it anywhere in the country. This is our family vehicle but it would make someone a great work truck. If there are any additional pictures you would like to see you can request via email and I will take some quick shots and send them to you. The truck has the 5th wheel rails for a Reese Hitch still installed and a gooseneck ball in the bed. It will need a brake controller to be able to tow a trailer. The wiring is still in place and will take seconds to install. I gave the hitch and the controller to the person who purchased the camper. The truck was never used for hot shot or any kind of heavy duty towing.
Here’s the good on the truck.
Power windows, locks, driver’s seat, tilt, and cruse
Brake job done at 162,000 miles
New interstate batteries, oil and fuel filter change
Dual air bags/ABS
Factory AM/FM cassette and single disk CD player with factory speakers
Factory aluminum rims with 2 new front tires with front end alignment
Billet front grill
Plastic drop in bed liner
4” Bully Dog exhaust system with down pipe and 5” stainless steel tip.
Wicked wheel turbo blade for low rpm torque/boost
High Pressure injection Oil Crossover Kit
Predator performance 75hp towing chip (non-adjustable) stacked with an Xtreme Diesel ultra-mag 6 position performance/economy chip.
SLP boost controller
K&N Cold air filter
Gets around 16-19 MPG, more if you go up on the chip but I’ve always been cautious and run it low
All of the performance modifications were done to increase fuel economy, especially when towing.
Because I don’t want to waste your time or mine I’m going to list everything that I can think of or know of that is wrong with the truck.
This is everything that I can think of that is wrong with the truck.
1)It has a dent on bottom of the rear passenger door and some scratches on the rear fender where a kid ran a red light and hit me in March of this year. The Nerf bar stopped him from doing major damage. I got an estimate from John Costa of Magic dent repair to fix it for 125.00 plus paint. This was a few months ago so you may want to call and verify that it is still good. His number is 281-330-4743 Please look at the pictures of the damage closely.
2)It will need a new windshield before it can be inspected; it has a crack on the bottom of the driver’s side near the inspection sticker. I only tried one place, but I will try another because the crack is not in the field of view. When I am looking at it I am looking down at the hood in my vision.
3)Sometimes the ignition switch box located under the dash fowls up and you have to put the truck in neutral to start it. New one is $18.00
4)It’s going to need back tires real soon.
5)The driver’s seat has a 3 inch tear along the seam from getting in and out.
6)The tint on both rear windows is starting to peel up at the bottoms of each glass.
7)Sometimes the power locks don’t come all the way up when pressing the unlock button.
8)The AC compressor has a sticking internal valve that causes higher than normal head pressure, it does work and blow ice cold but I would put it on a to-do list of repairs.
When I searched the value of the truck on the internet this is what I found.
