Launched my new boat at the Larose boat launch on 24 to go crabbing next to the Sulfur Mine. My girlfriend and I wanted a few crabs to boil for Good Friday. We get to my favorite spot only to find two other boat aready there so I head down futher to Point O Chen. Found and empty spot to put our nets out and started crabbing. Right away we started catching some nice crabs and a few throw backs that were to small. Then I noticed the Game Warden boat making his round passing every boat around us. Told my girlfriend well I'll get the life jackets ready to show them. He comes strait for me then waves me off, wow no hassle. We catch about 80 crabs for 9:30 and we are on our way home. We get at the landing and nobody around but the old man in his truck that chases you for his $5.00. My girlfriend goes to get the truck and there is a sign on a tripod right behind my trailer, so she takes the sign and moves it out of the way. Then the old man goes crazy about the sign not to move it, that it's there to tell the people to get off the parking lot before 7pm or the gate will be closed and you will be locked in. I thought he was joking then he comes up to the passanger window and tells her that her finger prints are on the sign and he should call the law. She told the old guy not to get his panties in and bunch and raises the window. He never says anything to me and on the way home she tells me what he said. I guess you can't do any late fishing at the mine or you will have to sleep in your truck till morning. A great day on the water ruined by one old bonehead for a stupid sign. Anybody else had problems with him?
