I did see your pic on the trail cam contest I thought it was pretty strange also but I guess he figure he was out numbered so if he couldn't be them join them!
Saw plenty of deer during bow season and we had alot of deer using our summer plots but when it came time for the winter plots we had no rain like trigger-happy said. It was so hot at the beginning of the season I think they only where moving at night when they would move being they had no water anywhere's to keep them hydrated.
I hunt in St. Helena parish and we have not seen any deer movement in the past 3 weeks. Thought they were going to start rutting this week but still no movement as of yesterday afternoon.
It has been a rough year specially when it came time to plant our winter plots it didn't rain for a month in a half. We have been feeling it ever since. Had a couple of nice deer on camera but all of them at night. We shoot 7 points or better now. What road are on hunting on now and how much is your membership a year?
I agree Every lease is going to have lazy azzes. I think they should have the option to make it up in a timely manner though due to the way some people work unless they would just rather pay then that's fine also. I would use that money Thats collected and put back into the club like for elec.,water,etc. Only for the ones that's always out maintaining the club for everyone to enjoy. Some people just don't realize how much more work they put on the other members to make it nice and some just don't give a shit either. I agree with the $100 for a work day and think that's a fare enough fee. Good luck huntin
Went fishing in dularge this weekend and limited out on reds. Had plenty of clear water in canals and duck ponds. You should go check that area out if the wind is calm.
Went to Toledo bend 2 weeks ago for the big bass splash and we made a couple of afternoon sac trips and I must say that It was on. We ended up with 64 big sac's with the biggest of them being 16.5" long. We were using shiners jigging them around bush pals in 25' of water. It was my first time and plan on going back real soon.
I shot a doe Saturday morning also in St. Helena parish with milk also and she still had a button buck with her. I would say she was late breeder.
Thats an awesome buck you have there but just wondering why it's dark in the background if you shot it today?
That is a good way to start off year. Hope to see y'all up there again soon.
It looks like a 12 pt. Either way defently a shooter in my book. Good luck with getting him

That is one big ol fish, it must be around 40 pounds.
Just bought one of these rest and they work great.
That is a great arrow rest I bought one and love it, easy to load and closed caption, works great.
The fish look smaller in the water so when you shoot one it is bigger than it looks. 16" fish look too small anyway.
