Well had a great time on the water. Had T-Motor trouble so didn't really hunt to hard along the banks or marsh. Started at the trash pile, saw a few people about a 1/4 mile to the west catch a few, but they were joined by to many other boats. We headed out to a few of the platforms. Cam snagged quite a few cats. She even caught two at one time. We headed east a way, not quite to The Bluff. Caught a few more cats and two drums. Cam started to loose interest so we headed on back. We let her pilot the boat on the way down the channel. Not sure which gave her a bigger smile; snagging two fish at once or driving the boat! Wind was out of the west most of the day. Water was green with visibility of about two feet. Couldn't tell you the temp ... since the T-Motor won't be the only thing I'll have to check in the morning. I casted quite a few different jigs and spoons with no luck. We caught all the fish on large shrimp. Not a productive day on the water, but the smile on Lil Cam's face all day made it one of the best days out there. Heading back out tomorrow alone. Let you know how it goes. Bad day on the water is still better then a good day at work!
Catching on Hybrids? Any specific colors or just go off the water?
Hate to hear that you had a rough going of it. I'll be hitting the bay next week. Hoping they loose the lockjaw after this front passes. I'm going to make a run to the west and all around Marsh. I'll let you know how it goes. Any thing on what they may be hitting on ... was planning to use DOA on the end of a popper and try a few jigs on the reddies.
