Waterfowl Hunting Louisiana

lab question
My lab pup always wants to play in his water bowl and I can't seem to keep him from knocking it over. He spills it about 5 times everyday and I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. If anyone could give me some suggestions it would be very appreciated. Thanks.

water
I use a 3gal bucket. Like the tub i don't have to worry about them knocking it over. Just replace it when they chew it up, but if it stays full they usually don't chew past the water.

Common Problem
Mine used to do it all the time...I think she is out growing it...I have wash tub I fill up so she can't dump it over, however as doorman said..mine likes to put her front paws in it and dig and bite at the water.

mine too
My lab does the same thing. So, I gave him a bigger bowl hopping he couldn't knock it over. Well, now he also humps his water bowl after knocking it over. Anyone have this problem or is my dog just that crazy. I really need to get him fixed as its becoming embarrasing when I have company over.

Puppies
My Aussie puppies do that, I finally found a stainless steel box like bowl that someone made that I water them in now. It weighs about 15 pounds so they can't turn it over, but it doesn't keep them from playing in it.

water
Had the same problem, easiest fix I found was a 5 gallon bucket tie wrapped to a fence, works fine.

labs
Get used to it,labs are very messy dogs! When mine was younger I would let him out the house and he would go straight for the ditch! They are impossible to keep clean.

i used to use a nice set of stainless steel bowls with a matching elevated rack, that the bowls fit in...one of my dogs collar got caught in it and pulled it over and it scared the you no what out of her. she never would go back to it again.... probably not a good idea to use something like that.... i gave that set away....

Labs
Get one of those bowls that can't be knocked over. The bowls that slide into a bigger piece that prevents it from being tipped. Either that or give him a 5 gallon bucket so he can't knock it over.

Had labs all my life and had to try all kinds of things. Used to keep a 5 gallon bucket with the handle tied to the kennel fence for one of them. Just got to try different things and see what works.
