Wonderful Treatment
Have you ever wanted to purchase something and wonder how it is made, time spent making the item and the people who make it. Well, living in New Iberia, I went to the place where "Pro Drive" is made for I was looking to go to a surface drive motor.Yes, went to Loreauville to see. What a wonderful experiance, "Peck" and the staff are accomodating and friendly. He'll show you the operation, you see the "folks" building the motors and the pride that is put into their product. The girls in the office are friendly and make you feel at home. When you pick up you're motor, the paperwork is done and your given a complete orientation on your motor. Oh, did I mention the "pups", if you like sweet ole ..... Read More

EXCELLENT EDUCATION, SELF DEFENSE!!....
Clint Smith, Director of Thunder Ranch, is part Drill Instructor, And part standup comic. Here are a few of his observations on Tactics, firearms, self defense and life as we know it in the Civilized world. "The handgun would not be my choice of weapon if I knew I was going to a fight....I'd choose a rifle, a shotgun, an RPG or an atomic Bomb instead." "The two most important rules in a gunfight are: Always cheat and Always win." "Every time I teach a class, I discover I don't know something." "Don't forget, incoming fire has the right of way." "Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. I may get killed with my own gun, but he's gonna have to beat me to death wi ..... Read More

At it again
Obammy at it again. There’s a lot of back-slapping and hand-shaking at these types of events, but the full-on embrace is rare. I guess that’s what you call direct diplomacy.

fishy lemonfish
Cooked lemon fish on grill for second time and it tased fishy. I can't believe this is right since I hear so much raving over this fish. The fish I cooked was a 46 pounder. I know she was fat and full of eggs. I cooked it on a gas grill with a little lemon pepper seasoning only. Shoud this fish be bled or something? Maybe marinated? Any help please since I've got quite a few steaks cut and wrapped in freezer.

toll bridge at Leeville
I'm hearing from friends that visited Grand Isle this past August (09), payed the toll fee, but are now recieving violation notices in the mail with a $25.00 fee addition. Seems like all were pulling boats or camper trailers that received the violation notices. Only one keep his receipt. If you go to Grand Isle, hold on to the toll receipt, unless you what to donate another toll fee plus $25.00, to the state. Payments are made to Geauxpass in GOLDEN MEADOW, more gold to Golden Meadow. LOL

Wildgame customer service
Wow is all I can say about the folks at Wildgame! I had bought the "Double Pack" of cameras that they sold at Cabela's last year. I went last week to check the cameras. All I had were 8's running across my screen. Not being good at fixing electrical stuff I thought I might have to toss these and "upgrade" to another brand. I decided to call their customer service number. I actually got an American voice who was very knowledgeable about their product. The gentlemen on the other end of the line was able to help me fix the camera. Come to find out it was a loose spring for the batteries that was not allowing the camera to operate properly. I left one in the woods. I guess new batterie ..... Read More

Dog found-Myrtle Grove Marsh
Dog found in the Myrtle Grove marsh. He was in the area of the camps on the Wilkinson Canal at Bay Round / Lake Laurier. I saw him last week and he had a collar but he must have lost it. Based on his looks I would guess that he has been out there for a couple of weeks. I posted this here since only someone with a boat could have lost this dog. Also, the only people that head out that way are hunters and fisherman. 504.289.9271

Houma crane collapse kills one, injures another
This is sad, we were friends with the entire Perkins family. We used to go to their deer camp in Deridder, and my Dad and I rode motorcycles with Mr George. Thad and I were very tight in high school. Haven't seen any of them in years. My brother was supposed to be making a sales call at EBI, but was delayed, otherwise he would have been there when it happened. Sad day. by Matthew Pleasant / Houma Courier Posted on November 17, 2009 at 2:49 PM Updated yesterday at 4:52 PM Gallery * * * See all 4 photos » HOUMA, La. – One man was killed and another seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in Houma when the boom of a 400-ton crane collapsed into a building at Elevate ..... roof for pop up
I have some land to hunt that I keep my pop up camper on. I would like to put a roof over it so I can keep it popped up so I don't have to set it up in the dark or while its raining. It will only be there for duck season so I'd rather not spend too much money. You guys think a tarp with some heavy duty poles would last? Or any other suggestions? Thanks, Craig

Keep America Safe Add to Addresses
Dear Supporters, Americans, it is time to unite, not as Republicans or Democrats, not as conservatives or liberals or progressives. It is time to unite as citizens. President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder have forgotten that their chief duty is the safety and the security of the American people. It is time for us to remind them. AG Eric Holder will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, November 18, to testify about the administration's plan to bring Khalid Sheikh Mohammed back to the scene of Al Qaeda's greatest single atrocity -- Ground Zero -- where he will brag about the slaughter of 3,000 innocent men, women and children and his lawyers .....
