Is there a certain season for hogs? In area 6 just wondering because we have a bunch of hog signs but I do not know the regulations for them. Thanks

Newphew's first time hunt.
Took my newphew on his first hog hunt this weekend on the deer lease just outside of Clinton, La. Had 3 come out at 5:00 PM Saturday evening and he took the largest for his first ever big game kill. The look on his face and the excitement in his voice will be a memory to last a lifetime. I think he is hooked. Remember take a kid hunting and you won't have to go hunting for your kid.

Hog trap photos from Whispering Pines hunting club
I wanted to send a couple of pictures in of our weekend at the hunting camp. We got to the camp around 9 on Friday night and decided to go check the hog trap. The following photos are the result. We decided to not even hunt this weekend because we figured that would just not be right after what the good lord provided us (7 Hogs in one trap). I am the one in the orange hat and my son's name is Tyler. My brother Dwayne is the other guy in the pictures. We gave 4 away and kept 3.

my crew finally took off from them deers we left about 9:30 p.m and hit the woods the dogs winded and bayed for a short minute i sent the CD but they broke 339yrds on the gps and stop him in a big briar patch we caught hell getting there but it was worth it.

didnt take this lil sow long to find it a new mommy.the lil hog eats,sleeps,and plays like a puppy.no one believes me that this little pig drinks milk from my deer dog and she protects it as if it is her own.it even follows me around the yard with the puppies and she likes to be held like a puppy. i guess i got me a new pet.

Bringing home the Beacon
After deer Killing for years, Its been a while sence I """KillT"""" a nice size Hog ! 240.Pds after gutting. I had to drag it out over a mile and a half, it took me from 11:00am till 4 pm! At 55 I sure felt my age that "day" Now on to bigger and heavier deer. Killed with my KP1 45-70 leveroution bullet (shoulder shot) small hole, I expected larger hole.

4-little piggies went for a ride
Last day of the hunt,had these guys in one of our traps. They were surprised to see me pull up next to the cage.Had to take em out of there misery.
No turkey for thanksgiving this year!

three rivers
A couple of buddies and i have hunted and walked approx. 6 miles and didnt see a hog.We went in off of la 15 and went straight back.Looking to go in the morning,but needing help on helping me locate some hogs.the place we normally go is all flooded between the levee and river.any help would be appreciated.

Help a soldier (please read)
I have a little brother in the army that I want to suprise. I would love to take him on a hog hunt but my normal places arent producing at all. He will be in from Afghanistan for two weeks starting Friday then goes back. I really want him to get a chance to kill a hog but we are strapped for cash, so a ranch is out. I would also like to go but only to video the hunt. Does anyone feel like helping out a soldier on his leave? Can any one promise a kill on a one or two day hunt? Please help!!!
We are in the Watson/Denham Springs area but will travel up to 1 to 1.5 hours

The Hog population in the state of Louisiana has grown tremendously in the past 4-5years. Farmers are starting to see the effects of Feral hogs in there crops. Trapping and transporting to Slaughter houses or Pens is the most effective way of elimination. This Bill #126 will STOP the transporting of all wild Feral Hogs(without a permit). So _CALL_ your state Representative and **Vote** against this bill. To STOP The Hogs in La....we need to STOP THIS BILL!!!!

a it legal to shoot hogs with a 17 hmr? Whats the rule on rimfire and hog hunting? It's ashame if it's illegal because it really is be perfect round for porkchops..I'll be posting pictures in a couple days

correction needed here, on private property there is no regular season , op .....
Look here on page 17 under OUTLAW Quadrupeds "Feral Hogs" http:// .....
there is no season and no limit on hogs, only stipulations are when deer se .....
