Kyle Hatcher Hunting Outside Louisiana

Illinois success!
I took this buck on October 23rd in Admas County, Illinois. Things were pretty slow for the first day or so since the weather was horrible and there was still a lot of standing corn. I actually didn't see a deer until my 3rd hunt. I watched around 12 or so pass through that evening, one shooter that wouldnt come close enough. Then right at dark this buck strolled by broadside at 20 yards. I shot him a little high but still managed to clip both lungs. He only ran about 50 yards and I watched him fall. He weighed over 250 lbs and my buddy gross scored him at 148 1/2 but I have had a lot of people tell me that he will probably go over 150 so I am going to re-score him soon. This was my first trip to Illinois and I cant wait to go back for shotgun season.

Good Scouters huh?
Maybe I did...but I also know a certain "scouter" that had an opportunity to hunt the same stand and wanted to stay where he was at!

Think you forgot to add the circumference measurments. He'll gross WAY closer to 160 than 140 for sure!

Congrats man, he's a real trophy. My dad's in Polk County right now and not having any real luck yet. Shot a doe this afternoon and couldn't find her, hopefully tomorrow though.
Tha's one goooooooood lookin deer man!

Man I think that deer will be pushing the mid 160s to 170 he has alot of mass and lots of height. Great start of the season. congrats!

just my guestimation but I think that deer is gonna touch 140 inches before adding any circumference measurements. Let me know what yall score him at please. Congrats again.
